Automatically Searching for Player Updates, Why?

Server Version#:
Player Version#:2.40.0

Kind of annoying thing. Anytime I load up plex, it will have a pop-up a couple seconds after it’s open, that says UPDATE FOUND! And with 3 options: Install Now // Show Details // Install on Next Restart

There is no refuse button. I’d rather update when I feel like it. Anyway, I CAN exit it out of it though. But it seems to me, that exiting this pop-up, just automatically selects “Install on Next Restart” because the next time I load up Plex Player, I get an UAC message “Plex Wants to Make Changes to this Computer”. This only pops up if I refuse the update. But the annoying thing, is if I say NO, to letting Plex make changes, is that the App stops initializing, and just doesn’t open. And so I have to open it again. And it will open just fine the next time, but then a couple minutes in to having it open, I’ll have that UPDATE FOUND pop-up again.

So this kind of annoys me. Can we have it not do this? I’d rather update when I please, and if I end up in a position where Plex doesn’t work as intended, I will update then, and/or uninstall/reinstall to correct the issue. I’m annoyed with the Updates though, because it seems to be almost every time I load plex is finds an update, even if I agree to the update. And all the Loading and Reloading the plex app, is really annoying.
