Plex constantly wants to update the player, but doesn't?

Hey folks, I don’t know what’s wrong with my Plex, but whenever I boot up the media player I get this: https://i.imgur.com/3MnVZVZ.png

I’ve tried updating it… 20 times in one day. And multiple times over the last 5-6 months? - Do anyone have a solution? I’ve tried removing all traces of Plex and reinstalling it and I still get this.

I have a similar issue with Plex for Windows constantly wanting to update. I’ve noticed that when “Update Now” is selected, the UAC window that pops up will ask for permission to install an older version. If permission is given, the update proceeds, then asks again to update (this time to an even older version). This is clearly a problem with the software itself. The version is checked, and it appears to search backwards for the next version. I have yet to figure out where Plex will actually accept reports of issues with their Windows desktop player, and I’m about done being constantly pestered to downgrade the player.
