Automatically sign in feature not functioning on Plex Web Server 4.80.0

I am using plex web server Version 4.80.0 and have come across a non functioning feature which is the “AUTOMATICALLY SIGN IN” feature under Plex Web - General as “Automatically Sign In - Do not prompt to select a user or enter a PIN during startup on this device.”
I have ticked the function and saved it but it doesn’t do anything. In other words everytime i use Plex i have to sign in and when i have a look at the Automatically Sign In feature it’s ticked. Whats going on? why even have this feature if it doesn’t work?
