I think Plex is very nice tool when it works, and it seems where there is an update to Plex I get problems with not being able access my server outside of the network. I have turned and off the remote viewing, and have had success in the few months since I bought Plex, but now I am stumped. I believe I have tried things to help or solve the problem, but this time I am missing something. available

What happens when click on Enable Remote Access ?
Are you using automatic port configuration ? or A Port Forward and Manually Specified Port
What firewall do you have?
Internet Security Software?
You could restart the server, wait 5 minutes then try to enable Remote Access and get a screenshot and zipped logs
See https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417-Plex-Media-Server-Log-Files
The recent update to Plex has solved the problem (yesterday) but now when I
looked at my server the problem has returned… I also did restart the
server. I am not using automatic port forwarding. I use the default
settings for manual specified port, and I have enabled and disabled the
specified port.
Thanks for your time and response.

First I want to thank you for your time on this, and please understand that I am working fourteen hour days so I do not have much free time. When I click on the enable/disable remote access button; the button turns green for a second then turns red and is disabled. I have checked and unchecked manually specify port, clicked retry, and enable remote access, and no matter what I do the remote access is disabled. I have Norton Security for antivirus and firewall. I have disabled the antivirus and firewall, and the remote access still does not work. I have waited five minutes
Hopefully I am attaching the logs and image correctly.
You are using a manual port forward - you’ve configured your router correctly for the Plex Server’s static IP and port?
For manual port forwards, I recommend this procedure:
Set up a static IP for your Plex server.
Go into your router and create a manual port forward rule for port 47222 (just an example but don’t use 32400), for protocol TCP, that points to your Plex server’s IP and port 32400.
Save that and power cycle your router.
Go into the Plex server remote access settings, tick the box next to manual port, enter 47222, click apply, then disable remote access, shut down and restart the Plex server application, and enable remote access.
Go to http://www.canyouseeme.org and test port 47222.
Go to http://www.whatsmyip.org and compare that IP address with what your router WAN IP is and what Plex reports as your public IP.
Thank you for your response. My server is also my desktop PC, and I have
been concerned about locking the PC’s ip address. I will make the changes
this coming Sunday when I have some free time.

@osmo67 please bear in mind that when you disable Norton you might not be stopping all its components.
Best to look into how to configure and inbound port rule in Norton to allow external inbound messages to local tcp port 32400 from any source and any IP
Okay; Plex seems to be working outside my network after following your instructions. Thank you very much for your time, patience, and solution. I have waited a few days before I posted this response to ensure it was working .
Thank you very much!
