Awaiting channel scan 12:00!

Server Version#: 1.29.1.6316
Tuner Make/Model: TBS 6205 DVB-T/T2 Tuner 1
Guide/Lineup name: ?
Using XMLTV?: No

So ive seen quite a few cases in the forum about the same issue but the issue still exists and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. So I’m having the issue where when I go to scan for channels, I could press that scan channel button a million times and all I get is a stupid flashing 12:00 and text saying awaiting channel scan. Now ive been pretty patient looking for ages, putting this off for about 2 weeks until ive gotten to a point where ive thought that no, I’m paying for a Plex Pass to get issues after issues, the community are the only ones trying to find ways whilst Plex, the ones who get it all dont seem to be doing anything about it.

So, basically, Plex is the way I watch live TV, and is the only way I watch live tv, and for the past few weeks, that service hasn’t been working with no resolution in sight. so please, can someone help me to find a way to solve this or for a member of the @Plex team to actually fix this in a future update instead of us the paying consumers having to be inconvenienced by this service.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing back

Can’t help with your specific issue, but can say as an alternative rather than using the Plex tuner service (which fails to find DVB-T2/HD channels anyway) you can use tvhproxy and tvheadend.

Good luck trying to get Plex support to help you.

I appreciate your help
Hope this will get me somewhere…

I have used tvheadend in the past but usually always had issues scanning channels due to out-of-date muxes.

I just hope for plex to better integrate its TV service and give this part of plex a lot of needed attention and it sure does have great potential.

I have the same issue! Mine broke when I installed the new 64 bit version and I couldn’t tune to any channels. As soon as I rolled back to 32bit server all was well.

I have just installed a fresh 64bit server and a different PC to test if a fresh 64bit would work but I am unable to scan a single channel. As soon as I tried a fresh 32bit version on same PC bingo scanning for channels.

I added my error to the 64bit preview forum but no one every got back to me or asked what i needed to post to help resolve.

If you are able to install the 32bit version and try that I bet you’ll get it working again! If it is the same as me hopefully we can get a fix for the 64bit version.
