Sharing is usually handled on account level, so the information should persist even if you e.g. migrate your server to a new machine / host.
Hello, I have already done it on other occasions, I have migrated the plex to another server and I lose the guests’ emails, and I have to request it again.
If you follow this guide to the letter, existing shares should remain in place and working.
In order to lose the friends entirely you probably had to create a new server and run it under a differen Plex account…
