Database Restore

Hi Everyone,

After years of very good use, I had an issue with my PMS on my SHIELD TV Pro (500 GB).
Usually a reboot fixes everything, but this time with multiple attempts nothing worked!

So, I decided to uninstall my PMS software and reinstall it, not knowing that it would also delete all metadata the database and more! (This PMS was not migrated to the user-accessible location.)
Then I realized, I have some backups of my PMS database that I can access on the Shield.

Since I don’t have access to the PMS database folder, I do the Plex procedure to move the Plex Media Server data directory to a user-accessible location, then copy my backup database files to it, hoping this new PMS would connect to it, but it doesn’t!

Is what I am trying to do to fix my PMS even doable, is there anything else I can do to fix my server?
I have family and friends relying on my Plex server and would hate to tell them they have lost years of their watched status and more.

On a side note, I just saw in the Shield / Settings / App / See all apps / Show system apps / Plex Media Server, the storage used is 360 GB, this means all my data is still there!

What can I do to fix this situation?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I would have to look back… but I posted about doing a restore with the Nvidia shield and database backups… as well as with the metadata. Take a look around the forums and look for my posts… should be doable… I have tested this out and restored before so I know it works… I am still running my shield but only as a back up. I have moved to my QNAP for the sonic stuff that the shield does not support.

Anyone from Plex has an idea how to resolve my issue?
