Battlestar Galactica / New Plex TV Agent

I’m trying to add the Battlestar Galactica (2003) miniseries to plex. I know that the new Plex TV Agent pulls from TMDB. I have tried scraping both the miniseries and the TV series from within the agent. The miniseries doesn’t seem to be scraped correctly. Is there away to do this?

I like the new agent, I want to see if I can scrape this without changing my entire TV Library to use the older tvdb agent.

I have the both parts in the “Special” folder. Episodes are marked as S00E01 and S00E02. Same issue.

So… what exactly isn’t working?
Are you getting no metadata or are the files not recognized in the first place?
If the files don’t get any metadata… did you rename the files after they were added to Plex?

Edit: keep in mind that TMDb is listing the mini series as a separate show (as explained in the linked thread)

The problem is that on TMDB, BSG miniseries is marked under “miniseries” not the usual Season or Special monitor. From what I can tell, the recommended Plex TV Agent pulls from TMDB primarily.

I use TMDB for each of the BSG shows and used the directory naming as per what I posted in this thread…

Battlestar Galactica old and new

Assuming your using the new plex TV agent then I’ve them named like this … Battlestar Galactica (1978) {tmdb-501} Galactica 1980 (1980) {tmdb-4621} Battlestar Galactica (2003) {tmdb-71365} Battlestar Galactica (2004) {tmdb-1972} I then use the episode ordering off TMDB but you can use TVDB if that’s how you have your files named.

You will most likely need to use the ids like I used or manually fix match with the ids to get them to detect correctly in plex. Anyhow, if you name the folders like I did it’ll work okay with the new TV plex agent.

Also, don’t use miniseries for the directory name under the main show. Use Season 01.

How does this explain why the episodes are not being scraped. Both parts of the miniseries don’t seem to being read.
