Best TV with PLEX playback facilities?

Hi All,

I currently have a HP microserver with PMS installed on W2K8R2.

The playback clients I own are iOS (iPad), Plex for Mac (Macbook Pro) and Plex on the actual server as well (connected to the TV via HDMI).

I plan to buy a new TV soon and would like to get one that has a good Plex client.  Main reason is so it puts a bit less strain on the server (CPU usage is sometimes high when it is acting as a PMS and I am playing back form the server directly as well) and to get away from using my iPad as a remote control (the server doesn't have keyboard/mouse).

I guess it is a choice between Samsung and LG smart TVs (not interested in Google TV or any other box solutions like Roku et al).

Can someone summarise which 2012 models support playback and the constraints (if any).

I was initially looking at models like:  Samsung 2012 "UE" series and LG LM6xxT series

why?  you've posting in a forum for developers to chat about development in, e.g., Hey, I can't get this API call working?

LOL, I dunno how I didn't notice it was in the wrong subforum!!!

Mods:  please delete, I have created a new thread in the Samsung Smarthub subforum.

I have LG 42LV3730 with Plex client built in , it works reasonably well for what it does but the client is quite basic and misses out of a few features of the full client(s) and also has a few bugs/usability errors which LG do not seem interested in addressing.

If I had to buy again I would probably go with the Samsung solutions, development seems a bit more active and client seems more full featured and growing.

Having said that I have not used the Samsung client, only going by what I have seen in the forum.
