My db is 88 GB and I’ve never backed it up. I’m wondering if mapping iCloud to a drive letter and using robocopy to send incremental changes to iCloud is a good way to conserve resources. I use robocopy now to backup my content to external drive bay and it works very well with local drives. I don’t want to store the db on iCloud to where it has to read/write from there all of the time. Suggestions?
Also, for the hell of it I tried RAR on the db and that was a waste of time. It choked when it got to open files and would have taken two hours to complete, and the server would need to be shutdown every time so I suspect I’d have the same problem with robocopy.
