Beta 6.3.0.1201 and Alexa

Running the .1201 beta and Alexa can’t find the Plex app on either of my Shield TVs. All of the usual steps have been taken - logging out/in, rebooting the Shield TV, rebooting the PMS. All other Plex apps can be found and controlled via Alexa except for my Shield TV. I’m running the same beta version on my Nexus 6P and it can be found by Alexa.

I can fling to the Shield TV Plex clients using the web client or my phone, so the companion service appears to be running and working like it should, except for Alexa seeing the Plex clients.

I updated PMS to 1.8.0 today and one of my Shield TVs was listed by Alexa+Plex. I went to the other Shield TV, logged out, removed it from the device list in PMS, rebooted the Shield TV, linked it to my account, and after about 10 minutes it showed up too. However, the second Shield TV has to have the Plex app up and actually running in order to be found, whereas the other Shield TV can just be on and the app is found.

Perhaps this is a PMS issue, or a PMS + Android Plex client issue?

I had a lot of trouble getting Alexa to see my Android TV (Sony) Plex player yesterday. This was the first time I set up the Echo, so I do not have a lot of experience. It did take a few times logging out of the app, and linking it back before it eventually found the player. PMS 1.8.0 and Beta 6.3.0.1201
