It appears that the missing episodes in the TVDB DVD ordering is a bug on the TVDB side. Their api isn’t returning all the episodes. I’ve confirmed this also affects the old TVDB agent (testing with Lost S01E25), it may have been a recent regression on their side so some people may have had metadata stored locally from when it was working correctly.
Thanks it works!
But how i get back the titels from the recorded correctly named files? Exist a way for this?
Ah, and btw. can the plex company save the EPG Data on his side for the Scaners? That would help when users create a new plex server with shows that are not saved in tvdb and tmdb.
yea i think that was it…
when i restarted the server after the first crash it started doing the clean bundles/database stuff… took a while and when it was done the metadata folder dropped from 120gbs to like 70 something : )
It does not. I have brought this up with the team but we have a few things blocking us with this at the moment so I’m not sure if this is something that will be coming soon.
I would say that this is a huge issue for any non-English speaking Plex user.
Every time I have to deal with “honey, there’s no Croatian subtitles” makes me wanna pull my hair out.
Tried it, guess I’m going back to old scanner.
Hope you can bump this in priority list.
How long does it before plex gets the update translated metadata for a serie?
Because i can see the dutch summary of the serie on Fix Match, but the i click on it and it gets the english metadata.
And i have some few more series not updating their english summaries while TMDB has the translated summary.
Also, another serie has some of the episode names translated and some of them not. Like some of the episodes are getting the translations from TMDB and some not.
I’m seeing this in my library for Amazing Race S31, but it appears TheTVDB does have those episode posters so not sure why they are no longer appearing in my library.
anyone else noticing the new scanner refreshing/downloading and loading the metadata for all files on every library scan (already did a refresh all metadata, which completed on my newest tv library) but i notice every time i do my usual manual library scan after some stuff was added… it keeps refreshing/downloading and loading the metadata for everything, every time i scan : (
edit- which is really annoying, not so much for the time it takes but for the bandwidth it uses. it maxes out my 110 megabits a second for like the duration of the metadata refresh… : ( oh how i wish it didn’t do that… could be a little kinder with my bandwidth… and i basically can’t watch 4k until its done… and there’s no way to stop the metadata refresh (which i didn’t manually trigger btw) hahaha…
edit 2- i REALLY wish there was a way to stop the metadata refresh (which again i didnt ask for hahah) but there is no way that i can see to stop it other than restarting the server and making the entire family hate me… hahaha
i just did a manual scan twice this afternoon and each time it redownloaded and refreshed all the metadata) : (
most of my files are in the cloud… rclone mount (actually plexdrive… which still works best for me for some reason : ) …but…)
edit- just updated to the newest beta (in the off chance it fixed this) and did a scan of a tv library and once again it downloaded and reloaded all the metadata again : (
Okay, sorry not using a setup like that so not sure.
But I do believe if the agent detects a file chance then everything within that folder is refreshed which is why I asked about the how they are stored on disk.
perhaps something in this new scanner can’t deal with cloud mounted files in directories (which can’t be written to?) (oh lord that would be a disaster hahaha… )
by cant deal i mean… can’t tell nothing has changed in the folders somehow?
