Better visibility for new Plex features on the forums

I think we need a better way to read about the new features. If I don’t visit forums daily, I miss most of the stuff, cause even if I am subscribed to the server and clients releases threads, it may be hard to figure out what the listed feature does, or how it works. I think we really need official threads tagged with “feature announcement”, that tell about the feature, link to the support article, allow to ask questions, and will be pinned for some time. And after that, I could visit the forum in a few months and read up on everything with that tag, then update the server and tell my friends all about the new features. It would be so much better than digging for support articles after reading some line in a changelog.

Or at least the changelogs could have the articles or official thread links included? That would be really nice.

Highlighting recent articles in the support section could also be useful, but I’d be afraid to miss some if I don’t visit frequently, so a feed of articles sorted by updated date might work better.

We are thinking of way to do that. The thought right now is to add links to the updated docs in release notes

This would be very useful - definitely an idea I support.

I would appreciate a way to see highlighted or updated support articles in context in the articles area so I wouldn’t necessarily have to be a forum member or dig through historical release notes. Maybe just a sidebar of “recent articles” or “updated articles” would be useful for new or significant changes. Just a thought.

I appreciate you all are considering it. Thanks!
