BIG PROBLEM - metadata not being found for half of my collection [Solved]

Hi PLEX USERS

Ive had Plex (with plexpass ) for a couple years now and im a bit of an OCD when it comes to my library looking beautiful… Ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find the solution…so here goes:

From about a month ago Ive been experiencing some problem with my movie database not grabbing the metadata for about half the collection… Ive ticked all the agents and set Freebase and The Movie Database as the top two in preferences still only half of the movies have got their metadata… Ive gone and done the most obvious things such as naming the files and folders following this https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200381023-Naming-Movie-files and also changed permissions, and disk checked on the HDD just to make sure everything was okay, ive left it for a long time to correctly collect the data and finish processing and still nothing (its weird that half the collection has been found and half hasn’t)

I have however recently changed my pc and moved the drives over (this seems like the most obvious error, however after permission changing following this http://www.preyerplanning.com/take-ownership-of-entire-hard-drive-in-windows-7.pdf tutorial this shouldn’t be an issue… should it?)

All the files play perfectly well and TV Shows seem to find metadata perfectly fine

Im running
Windows 7 Ultimate
AMD FX6300
8GB RAM
1TB Drive (for TV Shows)
2TB Drive (Collection of 800 Movies)
1TB Drive (For Music)

UK (Virgin Media 152mb/s wired/wireless connection)

I have zero problems with my few hundreds movies because i use tmdb as primary metadata source and i put the year in parenthesis as per plex naming convention. Please select tmdb as agent for library and refresh. Then if no metadata for some movies follow naming convention with year in parenthesis and if doesn’t work give filenames of non working movies.

solved by moving all the movie files to a new drive and starting a new library through plex this meant that the metadata could be found again thus finding the posters thanks for the help
