Bitrate of 2147483647(int max) kbps when choosing automatic quality

Server Version#:1.41.0.8994
Player Version#:4.136.1

When clients using the Web Player attempt to use automatic quality settings, whether they are remote or local, I get a debug log line similar to the following, which is reporting a bitrate of INT_MAX. This is causing wild issues with transcoding and buffering for just about all of my clients.
[Req#5ec3/Transcode] Streaming Resource: Reached Decision id=15059 codes=(General=1001,Direct play not available; Conversion OK. Direct Play=3000,App cannot direct play this item. Direct play is disabled. Transcode=1001,Direct play not available; Conversion OK.) media=(id=23995 part=(id=24327 decision=transcode container=mp4 protocol=dash streams=(Video=(id=100343 decision=copy width=1920 height=1080) Audio=(id=100345 decision=copy channels=2 rate=48000) Subtitle=(id=100348 decision=transcode bitrate=2147483647 encoder=ass languageCode=eng location=sidecar))))

Don’t enable “automatic quality”.
There is a reason why it still says “beta” on its label.
In the medium term, this will be replaced by https://support.plex.tv/articles/quality-suggestions/ on all platforms.

Since this has consequences for the whole server, not just the individual client, is there really no way to disable this server-side?

There is not.
