Bitstream HD Audio

Sorry if this is a dumb question or has been answered before.

I’m totally new to OpenPHT, and I’m using it via RasPlex ( I think they are somewhat the same). I have my RP3 connected via HDMI to a Onkyo Receiver that can decode HD Audio (DTSHDMA and TrueHD). I rip all my Blu Ray to MKV with the HD audio track, and would like Plex to just bitstream this to my receiver. Is that possible today? I know RasPlex can decode DTSHDMA, but I noticed when it does my center channel is extremely soft and low volume.

If someone can point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it!

I have an RPi2 with RasPlex that I only use occasionally. I’ve never noticed any problem with my center channel volume.

Have you tried different settings/listening modes in your AVR. You can usually raise the center channel volume in the settings… not a solution, but a work around.

Here is a thread on Rasplex audio settings:

What do your audio output settings look like?
