Black/Blank screen Xbox One, media plays fine everywhere else.

Ok, I updated to plex pass today to try and get the xbox one app up and running. Which it does, except for the fact that it doesn't play anything. It picks up any changes I make on the server, or if I play something on another device it'll try to resume playing where I left off, but try to play anything and it just goes to a dark screen and nothing ever happens. At first I chalked it up to the xbox one not supporting the file format, but the built in media player plays stuff just fine. I've turned off and turned on and turned off again direct play, logged out, reinstalled server and client, etc. All nothin. All my other plex clients on ios and on my mac are all playing everything fine so I know its not the media. I've searched around and can't seem to find a solution but admittedly I'm not even sure what to really search for. Help?

hmm I am not sure then, maybe clean your logs and post a clean log after you tell it to play.

Im having the same issue, how do you clean the logs?

If you downloaded the xbox one profile that was necessary to make the Media Player app work from here: https://forums.plex.tv/topic/123720-xbox-one-profile-direct-play-mkvs-help-please/ (or somewhere like it) then delete it. Things started working after I did that.
