I originally posted this in another sub-forum, without realising that this one existed. If I've broken any rules and need to delete my old thread, please let me know; I'm happy to do so.
I've installed the new Xbox One app, it connects to my server, I can browse through my whole collection just fine, but when it comes to playback, nothing happens. Literally. I am presented with a black screen that just stays black indefinitely. The app is still responsive (I can hit B to go back), but as for playback, nothing happens at all. I can hit play, pause, fast forward, rewind, but they all do nothing, and the screen stays black.

I'm having issues trying to play my media on my Xbox One and was wondering if anyone had encountered the same problems and more importantly found a solution. I have my server running on Windows 7 and it is connected to my ISP's router but it is connected to a dumb switch. It is on the same subnet and is still using the router for it's IP. The Xbox One is connected to the same router and has the app installed. When I use the app, I can browse my entire collection and channels, but when I go to play a selection, all I get is a black screen.
I've tried updating my server (version 0.9.11.1) and the Plex app. If I try to play via my Android device it works fine both on my local network or over 4G. If I use a third party connector app like Skifta, I can play the media on my Xbox One just fine. I can also browse and play my media just fine from my Xbox 360 (just file listings, not an app) that has the same setup as my Xbox One on the network.
If anyone has run into this or if you know the solution please help me out. Thanks.
Same problem a friend is having :( No idea the cause or how to fix. Basically he plays any content from my Server and 90% of the time it will end up in a black screen. :(
