Is there a way to block devices that keep authenticating into plex? More specifically for X-box Ones and other such devices that do not prompt for passwords when removing them from plex trust-wise? I’ve even added a pin and changed my account password. This X-Box One device is still able to authenticate in somehow.
Changing your password does not normally remove previously authorized devices. When you do change your password, there is an option under it to “Sign out connected devices after password change”, if you select this, then all those other devices will get removed.
Hi MovieFan.Plex,
I did do this and this device still keeps somehow authenticating in. Is there a specific way that the X-Box One authenticates into plex? How can I prevent this one device from reconnecting?
Cheers,

Are you using Plex Home and managed users? A device can also get associated with a Managed user if that user used the device. Removing the device from your account, does not remove it for that managed user. You will need to sign into Plex Web as the managed user and remove the device from that account as well, like you did for your account. If you have multiple managed user, you will need to repeat this for each of them.
I know it’s complicated. We are looking at ways to make this easier. But for now, this is the way.
You can also delete and recreate the managed user. That will also work to remove the authentication.
