Alright guys I’m sure there’s something simple I’m missing here. My family has access to my Plex server. My sister’s husband just cheated on and left her taking an xbox one that i paired to my account since she didn’t have anything i could do it with. I’ve tried going into devices and “removing device” from both the server and on plex.tv, but he is still able to access and watch the content. I know he’s not logging in and repairing the xbox himself. I don’t really want to change my password as my family is not very computer literate whatsoever. Changing the password would be a big deal lol. I’ve modified the iptables on the router to drop all attempts to access anything on my network from his new IP address, but there has to be a better way to not let him access the server anymore. Any suggestions?
Go to PlexWeb, select Tools, select Devices, select Other, find the XBox and delete by clicking on the red cross, if anyone tries to connect on the XBox they will be prompted to enter the code at plex.tv/pin, which they won’ be able to do as they dont have your login details.
Hope that’s clear.
Regards

Yes I’ve done that on both the plexweb and the media manager on the computer. I know he doesn’t have the login details either because I’ve had to set up the whole family’s clients and no one else knows it. So is this a glitch?
You can also revoke access by deauthorizing the single sign-on authentication that would be linked to his Xbox Live Account.
If you navigate to: https://plex.tv/users/edit
After logging in scroll down to the very bottom of the page you can delete authentication.
Thank you jmckee. I’ll give that a try
Sounds like it should work
Okay I just tried this and I don’t see authentication anywhere on the page. Has it been removed, is it on another page. I need to remove a PS4 that is connecting to my server. Thanks.

Should still be there, I just clicked the link I posted previously and scrolled all the way down to the bottom to find it:
However, I don’t have a PS4 so I don’t know if it will link in that area as well or if you will need to do what Ned posted above and remove the device from the server so the next time it connects it forces the client to request a new link via pin.
@jmckee thanks for the quick reply. I tried all three browsers and I don’t see it. I wonder if it’s different since it’s a different platform.
