Blue Duplicates Button Not Displaying

Al of a sudden my server is not displaying the blue duplicates indicator in the corner of duplicate tv shows, not sure if it is new server version related or not, but I just noticed it when I added episodes of a show I knew I already had and when I went to the show it didn’t show any duplicates, but if I clicked on the get info button it showed that it had a duplicate. Any idea how to fix?

Server Version#: Version 1.22.1.4228

Annoying, ain’t it?

Seems redundant to me, but filtering for Duplicates is where they’re showing up - and if we’re there don’t we expect to see Duplicates?

Isn’t the Blue Indicator meant to Indicate a Duplicate/Version Clearly, so we can select a Version or Fix a Mis-Matched Duplicate?

I realize this is User Logic. Developer Logic is completely different.

Apparently it is new server related or new home screen manager related. I downgraded to the last version before the one released this week and the blue duplicate boxes are back in the corner of tv shows.

Yes, well…

Unfortunately that is NOT the solution, but since it’s the one that you employed… so be it. The real solution is Plex realizing their horrific mistake and fixing it (your solution is certainly going to be quicker).

Good point. It’s more of a work around. Hopefully it is a glitch they will fix in the next release, though if they don’t list it as a fix in that release the only way to know is download and install it.

The problem right now is - you won’t get the ‘fix?’ for Dueling Recently Addeds - if you don’t employ the new version.

Choose Wisely.

The local web app still shows the indicator. Of course, that eventually will be gone too.

So I am not the only one with this problem? I couldn’t find any more posts about it.

Mine doesn’t…:

I KNOW I have two of those.
The Problem is my friends don’t so they’re rolling the dice, but don’t know it…

My friends also don’t know they can select the Theatrical or The Pre-Release Version of this one… no Blue 2 to indicate a Version they can pick… so they don’t (unless I tell them in an Edit and even then, will they ever read it? Probably not).

Yeah mine wasn’t showing it on anything.

I guess I didn’t realize I used this feature as much as I do, until it was gone. It really helps when you have a massive server to find the duplicates you didn’t realize you had and trim the out to save as much space as you can,

Juice I can see it. PfMac

After you’ve drilled for it.

Where is the Blue 2 to tell you to drill for a Version?
Do you normally drill for Versions before you play everything?

I don’t and I KNOW my friends don’t.
(you’re one of them - I know you don’t drill before playing…lol)

My LG app does show the Blue box, so all good in OZ as it’s my main client

Yeah, having the versions listed in the details under the summary and poster isn’t as obvious as the old blue indicator.

All of my duplicates are lower quality, stereo audio versions of the original, for my friends who can’t direct play HEVC/Surround. The apps seem to automatically pick the right version to play, so in my circumstance, the more obvious indicator isn’t so important.

I guess I haven’t pushed the upgrade server button for a while.

You’ll miss that when it’s gone…lol

Yeah, the app was just updated yesterday. So maybe it’s just a bug.

So how are you going to explore all those ground breaking RA Enhancements? <—that would seem to be the thing you need right about now…eh?

LOL - I have to switch between apps depending on what I want to do. The local app won’t let me refresh metadata or empty trash, the hosted doesn’t show the duplicate indicator as obviously as the old one. So there’s usually 2 tabs open on the browser during maintenance.

So, the Hosted App has all the magic?
I thought the new server version was to accompany it?
Could be and probably am - wrong.

Anywho I jump on those updates - and hope for the best.
I don’t have any Blue 2 Versions and not going to back up to get 'em.
But I am gonna cry about it - often.
