Bought plex pass... can't access.

i bought a monthly subscription to plex pass for $4.99 from my andorid phone and it was charged to my card. now when i try to access from my laptop it says I still need to buy? Am I totally missing something here? Do I need to buy it for each device?

I am thinking you didnt subscribe to plex pass you bought the android app which is not the same thing.

well damn. i figured the in app purchase would be for the plex pass. what did i pay 4.99 for if the app is free?

A Plex Pass Subscription cannot be purchased from the Android app on phone it can only be purchased on https://plex.tv/subscription/about What you probably purchased was the one time in app purchase for the app which cost 4.99 also. if for some reason it did not activate after that one time purchase you need to use the email in the popup to contact Plex to check your Google Play account and activate the app for you. 
 
the app has certain features free which are outlined in the description. like using it as a remote for other Plex apps. it is free so you can test that streaming works for you ( you can play something for one minute ) before you pay for it.
 
Also how are you accessing the “Plex for Android” app on your laptop? some sort of android emulator? if you mean you are trying to use some other Plex app like Plex for Window 8.1 then yes you would need to purchase that as it a different app and even if it was the same app purchases cannot be transfers between stores, meaning you can’t use Plex for Android purchased from Google Play on Amazon devices which do not have Google Play for example

I'm sorry, maybe I didn't clarify. I'm not accessing plex for android via my laptop. I set up my library through my laptop to test out plex to see if i like it, played a video on my laptop, worked great. I then went to try and play a video through my android phone via the plex app. What I thought i read was that for $4.99 I was paying for a subscription to plex pass. Maybe I misread it and the text was it WASN'T a subscription. I think I must have just paid for the one time app purchase. Sorry for the confusion.
