Plex Pass Questions

I have a few questions regarding Plex Pass. I have downloaded Plex on my computer and set it up to stream movies to my Android mobile phone using the same ID that I use on my computer.

  1. Currently, when I watch movies on my mobile phone, I can only watch for 1 minute before the movie stops abruptly. This happens every time I try to watch a movie on my phone.
  2. Regarding the Plex Pass payment, if I pay for it on my computer, whether it’s a monthly, annual, or even a lifetime subscription, my question is: Do I need to pay for Plex Pass again on my phone or iPad? In other words, do I need to pay once or pay according to the number of devices I use to log in?

Plex Pass is an account-wide setting, so if you acquire a pass you will have it on any and all devices that you log in as under the same account.

If the only benefit of the pass is the ability to watch on your mobile device, you might consider buying the mobile-only “unlock” in-app purchase, which is only $5 one-time. It unlocks it for all devices for your Android store account, not your Plex account. This means that if you unlock it on your phone, but have a separate Android store account for your tablet, you will need to re-purchase the unlock. If you log into the same Android store on both, the purchase will persist. If you later get an iPhone, and try to watch Plex, you will need to pay the in-app purchase on that Apple account as well to watch, since that store doesn’t talk to the Android store.

If there are additional features in the Plex Pass you want enough to purchase it, then all you need to do is log in as the same Plex account on any device (Android, Apple) and you will not need to pay to unlock the apps.
