Plex Sync really needs to be fixed

Been using Plex for years, subscribed to Plex Pass the day it was available, mainly for Sync - but its never really worked. Its incredibly wonky.

  1. Randomly stops downloading items and then stuck on ‘waiting’ - never resumes
  2. Stuck on 50% waiting for server
  3. Download speeds vary highly and randomly

I’ve deleted devices from servers and all sync items, tried re syncing, but to no avail. Its just random when it works. Really incredibly frustrating.

I suspect one of the main reasons people subscribe to Plex Pass is sync. Can a Plex employee respond here on the roadmap to fixing it once and for all?

Seems to be of particular issue with Playlists…plex employee? anyone?

  1. Waiting sometimes means nothing to sync. For example you set it to sync all unwatched epsocdes of a tv show, but every current epsoides are watched. Then it will say waiting
  2. 50% sometimes mean server has finished transcoding, and your mobile app has “paused”.

The above would be correct if not for heckling the server and seeing the items in question with the download icon on top of the poster. If items in question are already downloaded there is a check mark on the poster, not the down arrow which is what I’m observing
