When watching video with subtitles in web client, video got converted to burn in subtitles. Subtitles are visible but picture itself is broken. Same on Roku. Only happens with enabled hardware transcoder. Any idea why this is happening?
I’m having the exact same issue. I can switch between having subtitles on and the video is garbled, and then as soon as I switch them off the video is fine (garbled video looks exactly like what @ybubnov is experiencing). If I turn off hardware encoding in Plex server settings then the video appears fine, even when using subtitles.
This appears to be a problem with hardware accelerated codecs with subtitles.
