BSOD with Plex

So, I’m not sure if this is a Plex specific issue or something else entirely. About 4 months ago I started running into BSOD issues. After quite a bit of troubleshooting I figured it was my RAM and ended up RMA’ing it. I just received it back about a month ago and I’m having the same issues. It seems isolated to whenever plex is running though. If I disable my server, I don’t have any issues, but once the server is up an running it’s anywhere between a couple of hours to a couple of days and I will inevitably blue screen. I tested this all last week by having plex disabled and had no issues whatsoever. Once I started it up again, within 4 hours I had a BSOD. I posted below the minidump from my last crash. Any advice would be appreciated because I’m pretty well stumped at this point.

does it crash whether you are paying content from plex or not?

You should (don’t have to) post this over at the official Microsoft Community boards.

Best advise I can offer on this one.

Nope, whether content is streaming or not doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Will do, thanks!

That was the minidump file

It is best to raise windows crashes on windows forums - eg the microsoft one mentioned or even the https://www.tenforums.com which has a section specifically for BSOD - https://www.tenforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/

You’re welcome. :slightly_smiling_face:
