Buffering 15 minutes after starting

Hello Plex People! Help!

Symptom: When direct streaming a 4k (HEVC Main 10) TV show to an XBox One connected to an 1080p TV on the same LAN it will stop and “Buffer” after 15 minutes. This continually happens and can be reproduced.

I’ve done a preliminary look at the logs and have not seen anything that jumps out.

I am baffled at this. Help please!

Other information. The file is stored on on a synology NAS with an NFS mount to the Plex Server on an i5.

I have the same thing happen, for me it’s 19-20 mins 4k is direct stream for both audio and video, then just starts a buffering loop where no network activity it present.

The same file will play fine in original quality on my Samsung Tablet which support 4k HDR.
