Remote player (Android Shield TV Box) is buffering but then suddenly stopping playing (acting as if it’s buffering remotely) but pulling nothing from the server.
I’ve had a few issues where by the remote access keeps dropping out but haven’t seen that happen during this (and think it may have been rectified by updating my router firmware). But unsure of what could be causing this. Pausing, going back, then reopening the stream works fine. It doesn’t seem to be transcoding so don’t think it’s related to that either.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Even just using it locally, I’m getting a similar problem, where it looks like its loading… then takes ages, then starts, then stops, as if its buffering, but its not needing transcoding. stopping and starting again typically works,
Using Shield tv 2019 Tube
Locally it plays perfect, no had one stutter or buffer (everything hard wired). Both boxes in the house are Android Shield boxes as well (only difference being one is remote playing and connection is solid.
Additional note - today I had full access to the server (checking from an external port checking site and the plex app itself) but remote connection was getting “unable to connect to server”. I’ve got them to try a wired connection to their router next to try and resolve this (as were running on wifi).
