Buffering in samsung tizen

Server Version#: Version 1.19.4.2902
Player Version#: 4.21.2

I currently have a dedicated server for exclusive Plex use at home, 4x8TB RAID-5, e3-1230 8 core CPU, 16GB RAM.

The library is shared for a group of friends, LG, Roku, chromecast, windows, android tv devices connect to the Plex media server and they all play perfectly.

But I have 3 friends who have # samsung-tizen of series 7, one of them Qled with the latest technology on Samsung screens and in the 3 devices the same problem occurs, it plays 24 seconds and stays BUFFERING, it is impossible to reproduce because it it hangs all the time.

The video files are Brrip 1080p, MP4, h.264 of approximately 1.7 GB.
(They are not such heavy formats)
The networks to which the devices are connected are 25 mb, connected by ethernet cable.

I am sure the problem is in the samsung smart TV series 6 and up, since I connect a roku streaming plus, to the same network to those TVs and it plays perfectly, try a chromecast also on the same network and it plays perfectly , try to play from the android phone and it works perfectly, Lastly try # samsung-smart-hub series 5 and it plays perfectly.

(I clarify that all are configured to perform direct playback)

Definitely on those Samsung TVs it is impossible for me to reproduce the content.

Anyone who knows any settings? Or solution to this

Hello,

Server: Version 1.19.4.2935
Player: Version 4.29.7 (last updated today 2020/07/21)

Did you manage to fix it? I have the same problem on my Samsung UE43TU7005KXXC, which is plugged into my gigabit local network with Ethernet. The server is on the same network (actually right below the TV, with perhaps 5m of RJ45 between the two). The video starts buffering every x minutes even when direct playing, I sometimes have a black screen with the following error message: PLAYER_ERROR_CONNECTION_FAILED : Failed multiple attempts to connect to the specified content server (AVPLAY). Sometimes the audio continues but the video is stopped then resumes, sometimes it doesn’t resume and I have the error message above.

Thanks

To anyone coming here from Google searches etc: I did not manage to fix this and simply started re-using my Raspberry Pi 2 with Rasplex, which works flawlessly.

I still can’t find a solution, before using the raspberry, which server did you use? I have tried with dedicated servers, in Windows, Linux and Ubuntu, with all I have the same problem

Ah, sorry for the delay.

Which server did you use?

My Plex server runs on a Synology NAS. But given that:

  • Any other client direct plays the same media without any hassle, even remote ones
  • Even when using the Tizen app as a client I was direct playing

The server should not have any impact whatsoever, I think the app is buggy (or alternatively my TV is too slow, which is not impossible given how it lags in simple menus).
