HDHomerun Live TV on Firestick Plex Buffering On Play Original Quality

Server Version#: 4.59.2
Player Version#: 8.20.1.26670
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomerun Quatro
Guide/Lineup name:
Using XMLTV?: No
Channel number/Name: BBC1 HD

New to Plex as of yesterday having retired Kodi.

When I watch BBC1HD and the player is set to Play Original Quality on the Firestick Plex (using Wifi) I get the buffering circle every few seconds. All the other HD channels work. I guess it is a high bandwidth channel but if I change the playback settings to Convert Automatically or any other HD setting the problem persists. However if I change it back to Play Original Quality then it works correctly.

It is as if the player is not calling for Original Quality when it opens despite being on that setting. Going forward it isn’t a user friendly fudge to do for the rest of the family. I was wondering if anyone had seen something like this…?

Thanks.

Edit:

Firestick 4k constantly glitches even when following above with a Unable to direct play as this media is not compatible with the device - video as transcode.
Latest HD Firestick following above works and has video as copy (H264).

Edit 2: moving server from Ubuntu to a Windows box with HW acceleration on the graphics card made the buffering less but didn’t automatically fix. Still have to change setting and then go back…

All issues go away when I use the Toshiba with Android TV, Plex on that is fine, therefore Firestick is the problem, requesting a transcode from the server constantly.
