So I have a Samsung TV and Im using plex and it buffers a lot. I have direct play enabled. Is it buffering because of transcoding? I have tried using the plex conversion for TV version and that even buffers. Any help? I have no issues with anything else buffering like Netflix or Hulu etc. Crazy fast speeds. So no clue why only my plex videos buffer? Thanks
I suspect it is an issue with EAC3 that may not be supported on your TV. Look at your servers activity while playing a movie and see if it is transcoding as well as the audio and video formats. Most TVs do not support HD Audio. If you have a receiver connected to the TV make sure the audio for the TV is set to passthrough so the TV does not try to handle the audio.
