[Bug 7.9.0.8224] Connection has been lost errors

Hi,

Seem to be seeing alot more of the connection has been lost bug.

Files seem to play for around 20min then the error pops up.

Sometimes over the top of the playing file or other times back to a black screen.

Anyone else?

Can you please provide client and server logs with approximate timestamps of the connection errors? :relaxed:

I have been seeing this happen many times locally and remotely, wired and wireless.

Just watched a 48min show and this happened 4 times.

Side note: my wife is going to kill me!

Just wondering if you guys have been able to reproduce this and that the error logs were helpful?

I do still see them occasionally. I ran a wire to my other shield so it made the errors more few and far between.

Can you send me the logs too? Sam is quite busy so I don’t know if he’s had time to look. Please note that the error is generic and can be caused by multiple things, it’s not just 1 thing that we can identify and fix.

A few things that can cause that error are a poor WiFi connection or a cheap router that drops the connection. A few things you can try if this is the case is to use a wired connection, make sure you have a static IP address, and increase the lease time fort hat address so there are fewer router re-connects that could interrupt the stream.

In the meantime i will have a look at increasing the lease time.
