Looking for some help. I’m getting the “Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry” error. Ive seen this one before and used to just click ‘retry’ and it worked. But lately it seems that this only happens some of my media and wont allow me to ever play that back again. I’ll break down the issue.
Issue:
I get the “connection to plex media server…” error on random movies/tv shows and they are now blacklisted from ever being played again on any of my android devices
Error:
Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry
Whats in Common:
- It seems to happen random different movies/tv shows
- Happens sometimes mid playback and once it happens I can never play that file without getting this error on this device again
- That movie/tvshow will play on other android devices fine
- Not unique to device, happens on Mi Box (Android TV) and Fire Stick (FireOS) but with different files
- Never happens on Web or TV app (Samsung 2017 TV)
Questions
- Is this the only option for plex support? No way of getting plex to directly review my logs
- Will I upload logs for people to have a look at?, I have an example Movie and timestamp.
