I cant stream from my Plex Media Server to my android smartphone

Server Version#: 1.18.4.2171
Player Version#: 7.26.0.14578

I have recently gotten Plex and I have been having issues streaming to my android smartphone. I thought it was the Plex Media Server on my Desktop so I made sure to manually port forward and everything looked like it was working. I added some TV shows and Movies to test out. Some are large files at 4k and others in 1080p. I downloaded the app and keep getting the same error “Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry.” I’m new to all this so I decided to set things up on my newer laptop which should give me no issues. I did the whole process again but I kept getting the same error on my phone. I have not tested it on my NVIDIA Shield or other devices because my phone is the only device I care it works on. I noticed that if I kept spamming retry, it connects randomly but it was rare. Then I noticed there was a sync option when hitting the dots in the low right corner, scrolling to the bottom. And it worked instantly. Is this the regular process? Because my music/pictures worked with no problem, I only had issues with the movies/shows. I did some mobile conversions as well but I can’t seem to get rid of the error so I kept searching online but I couldn’t find anything that could help so I decided to ask for help myself.

What I found for the Playback Info when I get error:
Quality - 12.6 Mbps
Video - Transcode (H264-H264)
Audio - Transcode (AAC - AAC)
Transocde Reason: Direct Play was attempted but failed, fallen back to transcoding.

I am sure my phone is the problem and was wondering if there are some settings I can modify to ensure original quality at 1080. The only way I was able to do that was with sync but I didn’t find anyone mentioning that to be a solution.
