I hope you guys can help me out.
I am using the latest Android version of Plex, version 9.21.1.1169 and am encountering the following issue, which was not present in older versions of the app. I have this problem on the following mobile devices:
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+
All three run on Android 13 with the latest updates.
I currently have Plex Media Server version 4.100.1:
file: PlexMediaServer-1.32.0.6973-a787c5a8e-x86_64_DSM7.spk
updated on my Synology NAS DS920+ with DSM 7.1.1-42962.
I noticed that any newer subfolders (of a main shared folder) of a photo folder cannot be opened. Some others in the same place can already be opened.
When I set it to āPhotoā during playback, I see a thumbnail of one of the photos it contains. When I press it, it lights up briefly, but doesnāt open. If I press a little longer (ālong pressā) I can select āplayā at the bottom of the screen and then the photos will appear. This is completely inexplicable.
I also installed Plex on a Google Chromecast with TV and there this problem doesnāt play at all. Likewise on Tizen (Samsung) and on iPhone and iPad. The problem appears to be limited to Android only! So, a problem with missing rights assignment cannot be the question here.
I activated my version of Plex Media Server so I can still stream movies longer than 1 minute.
I have added another screenshot of a problem folder in the album view. Looks weird.
Does anyone recognize that? It seems to me that there is no rights issue, otherwise this would not play on the Google Chromecast with TV and others either.
Thank you very much.
