This has been an annoyance for a while since the new modern UX was rolled out. What is happening is that on the Android app all background artwork is cut off and truncated on the left hand side of the image.
To illustrate how much I’ll use this text based image for hawkeye:
which is rendered as the following in the plex app on Android TV:
As you can see, everything left of the A in hawkeye is removed when the image is displayed in plex. Again, only using this show the scale of the problem and other movies and TV shows can look messy and unprofessional.
One more example directly from plex.tv is → https://watch.plex.tv/movie/horton-hears-a-who-2008 which uses a left sided image for its background with lots hidden.
I do understand you want to blur the image in, which is fine however IMO to much is being cut and I’d request this looked into please.
