I've just added the Archer (2009) TV series and it seems Plex got the names all wrong:
The files are named properly ( example: Archer (2009)/Season 01/Archer (2009) - S01E01 - Mole Hunt.mp4 ) and this also happened with the second season...
This looks like a bug to me... or am I missing something here?
Looks like it's pulling the metadata from the actual files themselves to me. Could be embedded metadata?
For what it’s worth, Archer shows up fine here when it gets the data from the tvdb. It’s likely what Monsieur Latte says, embedded metadata.
Thank you! Moving Local Media Assets to the bottom of the agents list fixed this issue, but this is really frustrating... I kept it at the top of the list hoping Plex will actually name episodes that aren't already present on tvdb using their filenames, but that didn't work either, so I guess leaving it at the top of the list is just a mistake/bad decision... I really don't understand the point of placing an episode's name in its filename if Plex is just going to ignore it.... :rolleyes:
