Bug: Library watch status is not updated until refreshed

I like to set my Movie library view to Unplayed and use that to find a movie to watch. After I watch a movie, the movie details show as played, but if I press the back button on the remote to go back to my Movie library the movie shows as unplayed. If I go back to Home and then go back into the Movies library the movie is filtered out.

The same behavior happens if I long press on a movie in my filtered view and then select the Mark as Played option. The movie shows as unplayed until I go back to Home.

I don’t know if this has ever worked properly, so I’m not sure it can be classified as a bug

You can’t refresh the page you’re on in Plex like you can a browser

I didn’t mention watched status in my post but it’s part of the problem.

If I am watching on my tv, exit back to the season page, then switch to my phone in another room…

By the time I get back to the tv I have to exit all the way out to the home screen and go back to the show before my watched status is updated

Looks like a similar issue.

I would classify it as a long standing bug if it has never worked properly. The Roku client works as expected so it’s not impossible.

Interesting, I’ve played around with a Roku before but never used it as a daily driver long enough to notice

It hasn’t worked on my Fire tv, Nvidia Shield or HTPC. I assumed the Roku used the same android app as Fire and Shield but maybe that’s not accurate.

Anyway, I agree. If there’s even a discussion about whether or not something is a bug, it’s probably a bad sign
