This was reported back in 2020 and still not fixed - Played Status Not Updated in Library View on Android TV - what needs to be done to get this fixed?
Marking as watched from the library view with a long press on an item does not update that item’s poster, view, etc. when in library view.

I’ve reported this a couple of times over the years and in my thread you linked to they even said it was a known issue.
Obviously still hasn’t been fixed, I wouldn’t hold your breath.
