I was working on my metadata tags over the weekend, resolving some inconsistencies. In the process, I ended up deleting/recreating my music library 2 or 3 times. Each time, after creating a new library (when I deleted a library, I optimized DB, cleaned bundles, and emptied trash), I found several mistakes - albums or box sets that weren’t cataloged correctly (missing tracks, multi-disc sets added as separate albums, etc. In on case, it even assigned an album to a composer that had nothing to do with the work.).
In these cases, I would re-examine the tags for mistakes, and finding none, I would Plex-dance that album by itself. This time, Plex correctly catalogs the album or box set, exactly as I expected it to be.
There seems to be a pattern emerging, where Plex makes errors while building a full library that it doesn’t make when scanning an individual album/set.
