I have albums with multiple discs filled with MP3s. They are tagged as you would expect, so the first song on each disc starts with track number 1. All files are tagged correctly, so each file has the correct track number, total number of tracks on that disc, disc number and total number of discs.
Here’s the problem: say I have an album consisting of 3 discs. I rate the second track on the second disc. Now the second track on the first and third album are also rated! If I change the rating on the second track on the first disc, the rating is changed on the other second tracks as well. This is consistently buggy regardless of which multi-disc album I pick and regardless of which track number I pick. So if I pick a random 2-disc album and change the rating of the 5th track on the first disc, the rating on the 5th track on the second disc will also change.
It goes without saying that this has made rating my collection a nightmare and completely unusable. I have only observed this behavior in the latest version, this only started happening recently. I would love to hear if other users can reproduce this problem and that someone from Plex can fix this.
I’d be happy to share logs if that would help, but I would prefer to do so privately to someone working for Plex. I’d also like correct instructions as the instructions provided at Reporting issues with Plex Media Server | Plex Support are clearly outdated…
