BUG: Naming in Plex is still in the 1980's, why doesn't it respect non-us letters?

Come on Tommy, sorting??? I mean, really, this is an internal database string.
Oh, and I do think that 20 years is enough patience…

I kinda know

Just have been running everything in english for as long as I remember

Sort looks fine on my system so ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

I think I see your problem.

You’ve got X-Men: The Last Stand and You’ve Got Mail on the same server.

Those are incompatible genres.

You need to permanently delete You’ve Got Mail and make sure it never gets back on to your system.

You need some variety for filtering and smart playlists/collections to make a difference.
Also… how achieve WA (wife acceptance) if your library only contains X-Men and the likes? :stuck_out_tongue:

Movies are movies :stuck_out_tongue: (duck and cover).

I solve the WA problem with titles like Aquaman, Dune, and Game of Thrones.

There’s no limit to the number of drives my wife will let me buy so long as I keep putting Jason Momoa films on them.

Oh darn, my bad!

THAT is interesting. I can add this manually of course, but by default it’s 0, that goes for the DVR function as well.

Yeah, I actually see this kind of thing on an almost daily basis. I work in English, Finnish, Estonian, and French so I know your pain. Some of my Estonian partners are also Russian speakers but I quickly realized the insanity of trying to add that to the mix as well.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen such an issue in PLEX. It’s not entirely unexpected, though. As dane22 said, we’re expecting a lot for all of the character sets to work.

Good luck.
