Since the release of the new mobile app, the Live TV section has not worked for me. When the section is opened, I can see the skeleton rendered and it crashes. Like after 1 sec.
I have the mobile logs (debug), but I will not post them here. Since they contain personal info. If a mod or dev can ping me, I’ll send them the mobile logs.

Complete broken for me too, my server says it’s recording but the screen is black, and when I close the app it keeps the tuner going until I reset it!
Might still be the most functional part of the new app though.
But hey, we got new exception/crash page now! The app doesn’t crash completely now! That is a huge improvement for the overall experience 
(there might be a tiny bit of irony here 
)
Thanks for waiting, and apologies for the delay replying here. I’m currently investigating a few of the different Live TV crashes we’re seeing. Any chance you can DM me your app logs?
I appreciate the sarcasm, but the logs leading up to the crash can’t be stored if the app is completely dead, so interrupting the crash a little earlier helps us to investige the root cause. In that sense it’s a pretty big improvement if you ask me 
Same problem here. I believe it might have to do with the content of the EPG. Any others experiencing crashes that also have IPTV setup with EPG? Perhaps the EPG has some formatting or characters that Plex does not handle correctly?
Bump. Since it still crashes (client: 2025.15.0 - 1053, platform: 18.4.1)
Mine is a mix between HDHomeRun Expand (network TV tuner) and IPTV coming from Threadfin (local IPTV proxy). Both sources use the same EPG xml.
I was having stream crashes on mobile (iPhone) in the past couple of weeks. It seems to not be crashing anymore, but there is no way to select “live” vs “play from start” & I’m seeing issues with complete loss of audio.
App Version: 2025.15.0

I can send logs if needed. FWIW, the app thinks I have the unreleased iPhone 17 
. It’s a 16 pro.
How the heck can this still be a problem (crash) !? This is a part of Plex Pass 
you know, something we have payed for? We are a bunch of people who has reported this.

5 months later and it still crashes (IPTV) with the latest iOS release 
I guess we are now close to 7 months of not being able to use Live TV on iOS. Consistently crashes as soon as i touch the Live TV menu item. This is absurd. Everyone, please remember to rate the app and leave a comment on the iOS app store to warn other users not to fall into the trap of believing Plex is what it used to be. It’s now an ad-pushing platform with no respect for the loyal end users that have used and paid for the platform for years. So sorry to witness the decline of Plex - say hello to Sonos from me, when you hit rock bottom.
This is happening to me too. Any time I press the Live TV tab, I see a spinner icon but nothing ever loads. The app becomes unresponsive and I have to force close it.
Live TV has been working fine for us on iPhone and iPad. We’re on the latest updates.
You might want to go through the checklist in this post and the one at the bottom of the page regarding IPv6.
I also experienced this. Discovered that even though I’d added a local HDHR tuner since Live TV was disabled for my account even though it would show up in the old app and in the web app it did exactly that in the new mobile app – infinite spinner that required a force close. Once I enabled live tv at the account level that went away and my personal tuner started working. Hope that helps.
That issue is supposed to be fixed in the next update.
