[BUG] Plex for Android 7.16.0.10308-beta crashes after phones goes in battery saving mode + two minor things

Hi,
since the new Player rolled out, the Plex app crashes every time after the phone switched in the battery saving mode, but only if the app is opened. Reproducing this bug works 100% for me by enabling battery saving mode manually.

Phone: OnePlus One with Android 9 (LineageOS)

Other things I noticed:

  • Seeking videos with a double tap only works after the player controls are opened ^^ but then I could also use the controls directly, I assume it should operate in the opposite way.

  • Sometimes the buffer animation for videos does not fill the whole screen:

Hey!
Thanks for the report!
Could you please provide logs for the battery saving related crash, as I’m unable to reproduce? Here’s how to send logs: https://support.plex.tv/articles/201573117-android-android-tv-fire-tv-logs/
I was able to reproduce the other 2 issues though and we’ll prioritize them.
Thanks again!

Just new here, but I recall seeing that a earlier beta had a problem that one tap on the screen would cause the video to go to that point in the movie as the controls were opening up. So we want to make sure we don’t go back to that. Just saying.

Thx for the quick reply, I’ve already send you the logs so you can have a look

Thanks for the logs!
The battery saver issue should be fixed in latest beta 7.16.0.10335-beta. Let us know if it doesn’t work for you though!

As for the music issue, can you give some additional details, do you remember doing anything special for it to happen or it’s just random, and logs if you can reproduce?

Thank you very much, I will definitely do this!

I really tried but I can not reproduce this on purpose. BUT the screenshot is from 16.May 21:01:46, maybe there’s something in the logs that I send you before.
