REGRESSION - Phone stays on after playing video

I’m not sure about the player version because the problem came off some days (weeks?) ago. But when I started writing this post i stupidly updated my client. So the problem surely was there in the previous version (weeks ago, when i first found the problem I tried to update but any update was present) but not sure if it’s still present in the last version.

Very, very frustrating and heavy impact bug!

  • Cause battery drain
  • Regression
  • Very easy to spot on

Update:

Now I’m sure about the player version: both the versions are affected by this bug: the version reported in my previous post and the one before that

I think you can use an external player as vlc waiting a bugfix.

I was wondering if Plex answers sometimes to bugs, as it doesn’t seem previous issues hadn’t been answered…

Surely I can use some different player, but I’ve a plex server and a paid app for not using it as I was used to do: whatching some boring stuff on the phone to sleep myself away at night.

They hadn’t answered but the issue was resolved. Now the issue is still there; and if I forgive to not use plex my smartphone battery is depleted

i paid for the app and it is really a shame plex does not answer…

This seems to be finally (re)resolved in the latest Android 8.10.0.21667-beta, for me

Finally it’s fixed… again.

For me its’ ok on samsung s9+ and player 8.10.0.21911 (stable)
