[BUG] Plex Photos Not Displaying Location for GPS metadata

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Server Base OS: Windows 10 Pro
Player Version#: 5.10 iOS / AppleTV
PlexPass purchased

Hey Everyone,
I’d love to know what I’m doing wrong here. I have about 1000 pictures most of which were taken from an iPhone and have metadata associated with GPS coordinates. I’ve added the folder as a library and expected to see a Map or some tagged “Places” under filter. The pictures are stored on a Windows 10 Pro machine within a folder and have location metadata Windows can view in properties.

-I’ve ensured in settings that location is available for everyone
-I’ve restarted the server and each client
-Plex has auto tagged some aspects within the image (e.g. Dogs)
-I can filter on other metadata such as Front/Back camera (so it’s pulling in Metadata)
-I’ve clicked scan library, analyze, refresh all metadata multiple times
-I let it sit for 24hrs to let any automated tasks run
-In advanced under the library itself all the options are checked (including save location names)

When I click to filter on places I show nothing but the line:
“No filters were found for Places”

My expectation is that I would see a Map or maybe the City/Town or really anything associated with the location metadata.

Any help would save me from insanity.

Wow I can’t be the only one with this problem right?

Same here…
Server version 1.15.0.659
Plex Web 3.87.2 do not display places, name, map or something relevant !
(nothing on Android App 7.11.0.8996 too)
You’re not alone

Thanks for the input. I had Plex Team Member reach out on another post saying something on their end was breaking the feature and that when it’s fixed everything will automatically populate.

Nice…
Thanks for the news…

It’s up and working now!
