Ok, I have done everything I think I should have. I have upgraded server version, have uploaded photos with GPS info embedded, and I have tried to find the settings on my Android tablet, and Android phone, the app on my SmartTV, as well as laptop. I know its not available yet via the laptop, but I thought Android was supported.
So, why am I unable to see any of the location information for my photos??
Am I the only one having this issue??
In Plex Web:
Open your Photo library.
Click on the Filter dropdown (default says “All”)
Click on “Places.”
If Plex has correctly parsed the GPS info in your photos, you should have some locations listed:
On an Android phone:
Open your Photo library.
Tap the Filter icon
Below the Type section is the Filter section. Find Places here.
Here’s what I seen from the Plex app on my Android tablet. No location
option.
Oh, duh, this happened to me, and I forgot about it. Run the ‘Analyze’ command on your Photo library. That’s what finally brought in the Places for me.
