[BUG] Plex reporting incorrect number of movies

Server Version#: 1.13.6.5339
Player Version#: 3.65.1

I run Plex from a Docker on my UnRaid server. I looking for a movie this evening and noticed that the reported number of movies on the Plex Web App wasn’t consistent with what I was seeing in TinyMediaManager or based on the number of folders I have on my server.

Plex had been reporting 1377 movies vs 1376 in TinyMediaManager, and 1376 folders (each containing a single film) on my server.

I spent a while going through and comparing all three sources for movies year by year but couldn’t find any difference between them. It was only after I checked every year did I notice that if I either filtered by year on Plex and chose to only display movies from after 1900 (for example) would it report 1376 movies.

Also if I sorted the movies by anything barring title Plex would also then report the number of movies as 1376.

I have attached my server logs as well as a short screen recording of the issue so that you can see after I sort the number of movies reported by Plex changes.

You have a ‘collection’ poster among your movies. This is the extraneous item that is adding to the number when you sort by movie title.

Activate the ‘collections’ view mode in the web app and you will be able to identify it.

Thank you!

I set up that collection yesterday when I was testing something. Hadn’t realised it would be added as part of the movie list.
