I have a couple of larger movie libraries configured to hide movies when they are in a collection.
When viewing a library sorted by title, I can see numerous collection with their individual titles being hidden…
… BUT not all of them.
Some collections are not there and their movies are listed instead. This is a bug.
Here’s that library randomly sorted:

No collections are shown.
Now, let’s sort by title (alpabetically):

The number of elements go down (expected).
I can see the posters of collections, but I can see also posters from movies that are in a collection:
On the screnshot above, you can see two collections (green border), but also four movies that are in a collection, but are shown as individual movies (red border).
Changing to collection view, I can see ALL collections:
Here’s a proof that the movies from poster view are in the collections:
It’s not only those two collections that are missing from the library’s poster view… and I cannot detect a pattern what is missing and what isn’t.
None of the collections missing is a smart collection - all of them are the “good old ™” classic collection type.
The behavior is the same for other browsers as well as other Plex Web versions (like the version bundled with PMS), too.
Edit: All screenshots were taken from Plex Web, but the experience is the same also for the Android player on Fire-TV and Android Mobile. I don’t have any other players to test it with.
