Bug: PlexAmp 4.1 on macOS: Tracks playing on top of each other if I skip ahead

I have a Stream Deck, which has a number of hot keys assigned to PlexAmp using PlexAmp hot keys. Among the key assignments are previous/next track and 1 star and 5 star ratings. With PlexAmp 4.1 on MacOS (Apple Silicon) I’ve now experienced a bug three times which has never occurred before on prior builds.

Bug: After what seems to be. a few presses of my track forward hotkey or 1 star hotkey (which also skips to the next track), PlexAmp will play two tracks simultaneously. If I use my mouse to stop or skip forward to the next track, I still hear two tracks playing at once…the “original” track when I pressed skip forward plus whatever new track I pick in the UI via my mouse. If I stop and restart playback (via mouse or hotkey), I still hear two tracks playing on top of each other. The only fix is to fully quit PlexAmp and start playing again.

I’m a heavy PlexAmp on MacOS user, and 4.1 is the only version I’ve ever experienced this bug.

I’d say this isn’t something isolated to PlexAmp for Mac. I’ve had the double track playing on the Android version as well. It can happen when attempting to press the NEXT button too quickly. I haven’t mentioned it due to hoping it would just go away on its own in new builds.

I’ll be on the treadmill and go quickly through next songs and wind up with a previous track playing on top of the current selected track. Again, as you mentioned, the only way to stop this behavior is to completely force quit and reopen PlexAmp.

Please, please, please, get in the habit of posting logs with reports!

Do you have strict sample rate matching enabled? This is a new option with v4.1

I’ll attempt to get logs. This behavior also causes double layers of the visualizers, one on top of the other. Again, this also happens on the Android version of PlexAmp as well.
